Hempnall Primary School

Welcome to our school website.

Ours is a school where children, staff and parents work together in partnership to create a happy, lively and productive community. We aim for the children to be able to do their best and many different kinds of achievements are celebrated. It looks a little different currently due to the Co-vid 19 pandemic, but you will still see our children shining through these pages.

We provide the children with a broad and balanced curriculum. We encourage them to be independent in their actions and in their thinking so that they develop a positive attitude to learning. Children are expected to have regard for others and we are proud of the standard of behaviour and the ways in which the children treat one another. At present we are providing a service at school physically for children of critical workers and also providing an online service to all of our other children.

This website will tell you a lot about our school and it gives you a flavour of the learning and teaching which happens inside and outside of our classrooms, and whilst we all battle this pandemic. Thank you for your interest.

Keep safe and healthy. God Bless you.

From June 1st 2020, the government invited children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 back into school, as well as the children we have already been supporting whose parents/carers are key workers or we consider vulnerable from March 23rd 2020. The staff and governors continue to work hard to ensure our school is as safe as is possible and review the Risk Assessment regularly. However, we believe this should be a decision that individual families make for their children. Letters sent out to different groups are below, together with our latest Newsletter which also states some of the changes to our school. Please do watch the various videos on Twitter which shows you how our school looks now.

Important message from Norfolk Local Authority:

Mental Health Support in Education Many services and organisations have changed what they do as a result of COVID 19. Support for children and young people’s mental health and emotional wellbeing (formerly known as CAMHS) has also changed. Please can you help us? We want to let as many parents, carers, children and young people know about this new web page as soon as possible: www.justonenorfolk.nhs.uk/mentalhealth
